What calls are included with Gold?
Gold includes written support, weekly group Q&A in our client community, one annual 60-minute strategy meeting, and up to three optional Progress & Planning Calls per membership year. We reach out to offer these calls; you choose whether to schedule them. They are in addition to your annual strategy meeting. No additional individual advisor text support. Tax questions, documents, and advice stay in your secure client portal.
Will I get a separate invoice for a call or question?
No separate invoice for questions, conversations, or work already included in your agreement. Diamond and Black include individual advisor text support for included services. Gold has written support, group office hours, one annual strategy meeting, and up to three optional Progress & Planning Calls. If a request involves additional work outside the services in your agreement, we explain the work and price and obtain your written approval before starting it.
Who do I contact—and what if they’re unavailable?
Your Tax Strategist is your primary contact with Gold and Diamond. Your Senior Tax Advisor is your primary contact with Black. Your Tax Manager owns your tax preparation and filing, leads the preparation and review workflow, tracks deadlines, and verifies filing completion. The team coordinates coverage and handoffs; you do not need to direct the internal workflow yourself.
What happens after I send a message?
A meaningful confirmation that your request has been received, assigned, and has a next step. An automated receipt alone does not count. This confirms that we have your message; it does not mean the answer is complete. Complex questions may need facts, research, or review; we communicate a plan and realistic timeline.
How do Gold and Diamond differ on calls?
Gold includes one annual strategy meeting plus up to three optional Progress & Planning Calls offered by our team. Diamond includes two strategy meetings a year plus advisor calls as needed for the services in your agreement; you can text the dedicated line to arrange them, without Gold’s three-optional-call limit. Black includes four strategy meetings a year (one each quarter) and access to scheduled senior-advisor calls for included services. These are scheduled conversations, not on-demand pickup. Texts are for coordination; tax questions, documents, and advice belong in the secure portal.
How does the dedicated text line work?
Texts are for coordination, not tax questions or advice. Tax questions, documents, and sensitive information belong in your secure client portal. Coordination and scheduled calls follow your assigned advisor’s ET, CT, or PT business schedule. Use your dedicated text line to get our attention and request a conversation. We follow up to arrange advisor calls as needed for the services in your agreement. This access is not limited to Gold’s three optional calls. Diamond and Black include this coordination channel. Gold does not include additional individual advisor text support. Texting does not replace portal submissions or guarantee an immediate reply.
What if a deadline or notice is urgent?
Tell us promptly through your approved client channel. Time-sensitive filing and notice matters are triaged by severity across memberships. Text coordination does not replace urgent escalation; send notices and deadlines through the secure portal promptly. Notice-response work or representation must fall for the services in your agreement or be separately approved.
What do I need to provide for filing?
Complete, accurate records, timely answers, and required approvals. Our document cutoffs are January 31 for business returns and March 22 for personal returns. We confirm the applicable tax year and any weekend or holiday adjustments. Late or incomplete files can lose priority, move to the next available window, and require an extension. Priority requires a complete, filing-ready file and timely follow-up. Extensions generally extend filing time, not payment time.
Can my quote change?
Your quote reflects the tax situation and services discussed on our call. Minor changes generally won’t affect your quoted price. Significant changes, complex tax events, or previously undisclosed information may require additional work beyond the services in your agreement. We explain the work and obtain your written approval of additional fees before proceeding. Your signed engagement defines the final services and terms.
Is bookkeeping only available with Diamond?
No. Bookkeeping and accounting are available in Gold, Diamond, and Black. If you already have your own bookkeeper, your proposal can exclude accounting. The services and entities we handle are listed in your personalized service list.
Are Diamond and Black calls unlimited?
Diamond includes scheduled advisor calls as needed for your membership services, without Gold’s three-optional-call limit. Black provides the same access with your Senior Tax Advisor. Calls are scheduled during your assigned advisor’s ET, CT, or PT business hours. Additional projects and work outside your membership require a separate approved agreement. Text gets our attention and arranges a conversation; tax questions, documents, and advice stay in your secure portal.
What needs a separate quote?
Unless expressly included: historical cleanup or reconstruction; payroll processing and payroll tax returns; sales tax; bill payment; accounts payable or receivable management; inventory accounting; property management; financial statement assurance; substantial modeling; specialized studies; complex transaction projects; and legal implementation. New entities, properties, states, or materially changed workloads may require a review of your included services. Estate tax planning, specialized equity compensation analysis, and insurance tax advice are not included advisory specialties. No additional billable work starts without your written approval.
What does the Private Client Assessment include?
We review your last three years of tax returns and current structure, prepare a written tax roadmap and a simple map of how your businesses and properties are structured, identify agreed priority fixes to implement first, and transition into your ongoing work. The Private Client Assessment is the Discover phase of the D.U.D.E. Method. Its $3,000 assessment is included with a 12-month membership commitment; the assessment fee is waived. If you cancel before completing the 12-month membership, the $3,000 Private Client Assessment fee becomes payable. Your signed engagement confirms cancellation and any other outstanding obligations. Your membership payment is due at enrollment: the annual pay-in-full amount or your first every-four-week installment. Your signed engagement confirms the commitment and terms.
How is pricing determined?
Your membership is custom quoted based on your selected experience and actual tax and accounting needs. We present annual pay in full first, including the standard annual price, applicable discounts, and exact dollar and percentage savings. Alternatively, choose every-four-week billing: 13 payments per 52 weeks. Your membership payment is due at enrollment. The $3,000 Private Client Assessment is included with a 12-month membership commitment, with no separate upfront assessment charge. If you cancel before completing the 12-month membership, the $3,000 Private Client Assessment fee becomes payable. Your signed engagement confirms cancellation and any other outstanding obligations.
How do renewal, cancellation, and refunds work?
The assessment fee is waived with a 12-month membership commitment. If you cancel before completing the 12-month membership, the $3,000 Private Client Assessment fee becomes payable. Your signed engagement confirms cancellation and any other outstanding obligations. Choose annual pay in full or every-four-week billing with 13 payments per 52 weeks. Renewal, cancellation, refunds and outstanding obligations follow your signed agreement, provided before enrollment. If you leave, we coordinate open work, deadlines, records and billing under that agreement.
What happens during onboarding?
We aim to introduce your advisor and Tax Manager, confirm your services and communication expectations, gather records and access, identify immediate deadlines and risks, and set your roadmap and recurring work schedule. The first 30 days are an onboarding target, not a promise to finish every return or historical cleanup project. Missing information or additional work may create documented open items.
Do you guarantee a specific tax savings amount?
No. Your advice and planning opportunities depend on your facts, eligibility, and implementation. We explain options and limitations, rather than promising a particular dollar result.
